On Friday, January 11, 2019, the Co-op filed for bankruptcy in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Our case is identified as follows:
Case Name: Columbus Cooperative Grocery and Market, Inc.
Case Number: 19-00174-RLM-7
A trustee has been assigned to our case by the court. The trustee will handle all details of the bankruptcy proceeding from this point forward, including communication to owners.

Francis O. Jenkins I received bankruptcy claim for 3090D. Case 19-00174-RLM-7A for the Coop is closed. The form states that if you are a secured creditor you retain collateral rights regardless of whether they file a claim.
Am I considered a secured creditor?
The government system did not allow a claim to be filed because the case is closed.

Hi Pete,
I just checked the court web site and was able to start a claim. It doesn’t appear to me that the case shows closed. For the question “are you a secured creditor”, I’d suggest you send an email to our attorney, Meredith Theisen. I’m not qualified to answer that question and we’ve been advised to direct all questions to her. Meredith’s email address is mtheisen@rubin-levin.net .
